Born in Northern Ontario, (Canada) I developed a passion for nature at a young age. Growing up, my friends were the animals and my confidants were the trees. If I wasn't at school I was hanging out with nature. At the age of 12 I began to relocate often and lost my connection with nature although the love remained strong. I have continued to move around but I have always felt a bond with and love for nature. This is why the majority of my items are nature themed. 

 

I now live just south-west of Toronto with Mr. PFD and he is my biggest supporter. It is because of him, that when my anxiety got so bad I was having a minimum of one attack per shift, I was able to quit working customer service in order to pursue my art. For me it is not just a hobby it is my full time job, my sole source of income and my life.

 

The majority of the people I care for suffer from mental illness which paired with losing a friend and step-dad to suicide has led me to become a large supporter of Mental Health Awareness. Phoenix Fine Design makes a monthly donation to my favourite non profit organization, To Write Love on Her Arms.
